Description

When logged in to an entity you might get the following error when attempting to view or print documents: “Error -28000: Your source IP address or Host name has changed. This has been explicitly prohibited by your administrator”

Summary

This error is caused by a Security Policy setting enabled to prevent a user's session from being intercepted.

To resolve the error, follow the steps below:

  • Login to your entity as a System Administrator.
  • Towards the top-right corner of the home page, there is a drop-down menu next to your user name. Click that drop-down, and then select the Administration
  • Expand the entity properties tree (if needed).
  • Expand the General Security tree (if needed).
  • Click on Security Policy and in the General tab in the right hand window uncheck “Require all session requests to originate from the same source” and then click the Save
